CEDIA Booth 400 Phase Technology®, a leading USA speaker brand for over 30 years, has announced a significant update to the company’s CI (Custom Installation) line of flush-mount speakers. These popular, high-end in-ceiling and in-wall speakers have been re-designed with a built-in mounting flange and a microflange grille with a nearly invisible bezel. In addition, the price has been reduced on all speakers in the series, making the CI line an attractive option for integrators who are looking for serious performance specifications in architectural speakers. The product line includes optional rough-in brackets to reduce installation time. The new CI Series models include: The CI6.1 X, a 2-way speaker with a 6.5” woven glass fiber woofer with NBR surround and 1” variable axis soft dome tweeter; The CI6.2 X, a 2-way switchable mono/stereo/bipole/dipole speaker incorporating a 6.5” woven glass fiber woofer with NBR surround and two .75” soft dome tweeters; The CI7.3 X, a 3-way speaker with an 8” woven glass fiber woofer with NBR surround, a 1.5” soft dome midrange and a 1” variable axis soft dome tweeter; The CI20 X, a 2-way in-wall speaker with a 65” woven glass fiber woofer with NBR surround and a 1” variable axis soft dome tweeter; The CI70 X, a 3-way in-wall speaker with a 7” woven glass fiber woofer with NBR surround, a 1.5” soft dome midrange and a 1” variable axis soft dome tweeter; The CI-SURR, a 2-way, switchable bipole/dipole stereo/mono in-wall and surround speaker. It has a 6.5” woven glass fiber woofer with NBR surround and two 1” soft dome tweeters. “With their new single-piece construction, attractive microflange grilles and lower cost, the new CI line is perfect for whole-home audio or home theater installations,” said Ken Hecht, MSE Audio VP of R&D. “Our Custom Installation line has always been a top pick of integrators who need superior sonic quality for their customers.” www.phasetech.com
