StreamUnlimited, a provider of software solutions and modules for connected audio products, has been selected for Google Cast multi-room certification.
StreamUnlimited, which already has experience in multi-room technology and audio product testing, already works closely with Google Cast, supporting SoC vendors, module makers and consumer brands to incorporate Google Cast onto platforms, modules and products.
Google Cast allows users to cast their favorite entertainment from a phone, tablet or laptop to a TV or speakers. In 2015, Google Cast added Rhapsody, Napster, Spotify and 7Digital to their list of high-resolution audio streaming apps and they plan to continue expanding this year.
“Over the last year, we have worked closely and productively with the Google Cast team to prepare this certification activity,” said Frits Wittgrefe, chief executive officer for StreamUnlimited. “We aim to be a customer-friendly certification house, giving brands quick service and value-added feedback.”
