Vicoustic opens modern acoustic treatment factory in Portugal

Vicoustic, an innovator in sustainable acoustic solutions, has opened a new modern acoustic treatment factory in Portugal, marking a major milestone in its commitment to environmental responsibility.

The new facility, which was officially opened during a grand event with partners from 28 countries in attendance, significantly boosts Vicoustic’s production capabilities, enabling the ongoing development and manufacture of eco-friendly acoustic panels and sound booths made primarily from recycled materials.

The construction of this modern industrial complex reflects Vicoustic’s commitment to enhanced production efficiency and environmental stewardship. The facility incorporates sustainable practices, such as solar panels, reduced consumption, and minimised waste through the reuse of leftover materials for packaging.

Vicoustic produces acoustic solutions using recycled materials, including VicPET Wool, made primarily from plastic bottles rescued from the ocean. This innovative material is used in the company’s Virtual Material Technology (VMT) acoustic panels and the interiors of VicBooth soundproofing booths.
