WyreStorm held their first annual distributor conference for WyreStorm sales partners at their new European showroom in Barcelona, Spain. WyreStorm’s purpose-built showroom was the venue for the first WyreStorm distributor conference held recently in the Catalan capital. Completed just prior to the event, the showroom itself covers approximately 5,000 square feet and was designed to afford invited consultants, designers, specifiers and key integrators from all across Europe the opportunity to view the full range of WyreStorm products in situ, including HDBaseT 4K Class A, Class B and Modular matrices and extenders, Enado and Enado Mini control, NetworkHD IP solutions and the WyreStorm Express range. [caption id="attachment_9814" align="aligncenter" width="1000"] WyreStorm’s purpose-built showroom was the venue for the first WyreStorm distributor conference.[/caption] On the opening of the showroom, Adrian Ickeringill, WyreStorm EMEA Genereal Manager commented, “Barcelona is the perfect location to bring people together from across Europe and the showroom an ideal showpiece for our HDMI, HDBaseT and HD over IP technology platforms to highlight our full product range from residential matrices, extenders and Express products to our HD over IP and modular matrix solutions, installed in a variety of room sets throughout the facility.” Ickeringill continued, “The showroom gives customers, both existing and prospective, the chance to see first hand how WyreStorm solutions are provided for different markets, to ask questions and learn more about products and their applications, and in doing so even further elevates WyreStorm as a credible manufacturer.” Such an opportunity was not lost on the WyreStorm sales partners invited to attend their first distributor conference in May, with 35 delegates from 24 EMEA markets as far afield as Egypt, Israel and South Africa attending two days of presentations, demonstrations, workshops, trainings and product overviews; including the full WyreStorm 4K range, the new NetworkHD 100-Series and 200-Series H.264 IP solutions and a pre-launch of InfoComm 2015 with some exciting new developments. WyreStorm’s Product Development Manager Dave Schorah gave a lecture on 4K UltraHD 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 to shed some light on what for many in the industry remains a frustratingly confusing issue, with an explanation of common terminology involved with UltraHD and overview of the WyreStorm 4K product offering for 2015, followed by a further introduction of new WyreStorm’s first Presentation Switchers and Scalers to be released this summer. WyreStorm’s Product Manager for IP and Control products discussed the HD over IP with NetworkHD using JPEG2000 compression and demonstrated four new levels of the next generation WyreStorm H.264-based 100 and 200 Series solutions offering enhanced flexibility for video walls, overall capacity and limitless switching and latency, followed by a workshop on Enado Control, simple programming and integration within a HDBaseT or NetworkHD project. As reward for unwavering focus and active input during the day, attendees were treated to an evening visit to the WyreStorm-installed Casino De Barcelona at the heart of the Olympic Port, giving them a chance to see a WyreStorm-powered project in action from the plush interior of the casino and blow off a little steam on the tables. The conference was concluded by Ickeringill with a focus on connectivity using HDBaseT technology, collaboration with HDBaseT Alliance partners and opportunities for increased business for distributors in their respective markets before wrapping up with what distributors could expect from WyreStorm for the remainder of 2015. “The success of this first distributor conference was evident in the eagerness of our sales partners to attend and desire to obtain real insight into WyreStorm’s plans for 2015 and product launches”, reflected Ickeringill. “Not only did it give us a chance to showcase technical developments with our range, but also an invaluable opportunity to listen to what is needed in our various markets.  Perhaps even more importantly though, it created a network of distributor contacts who otherwise may never have met, to share their knowledge and experience, working together as one for a common goal.” www.wyrestorm.com
