D-Tools secures $12m funding to develop AI-enhanced software

D-Tools has secured $12m funding led by investor John Heyman through his newly formed company, StellarIQ, with continued support from majority investor Greybull Stewardship.

With this new funding, the business management software provider is consolidating its end-to-end solution for systems contractors.

The investment reinforces Greybull’s long-term commitment to the company and aims to create cohesion, improve efficiencies and deliver insights with exclusive AI technologies.

Heyman said: “Our investment of capital and technology will create a connected platform that empowers every employee and unites stakeholders across the industry through advanced analytics and reporting.”

Beyond the capital investment, D-Tools will benefit from StellarIQ’s proprietary AI technology to enhance its product suites.

The improvements span automated workflows and intelligent tools, designed to help integration firms operate more efficiently.

The advanced AI technology will also expand the growth of D-Tools’ Industry Information & Insights (I3) initiative to provide market intelligence, benchmarking and analytics that connect the systems integration ecosystem, from integrators and buying groups to manufacturers and distributors.

Randy Stearns, CEO of D-Tools, added: “With StellarIQ’s strategic involvement and Greybull’s ongoing support, we are accelerating our product roadmap and expanding our vision to serve the entire industry value chain.”
