Rako showcases smart lighting design at WOW!house 2026

Rako Controls has collaborated on two high-profile designer rooms at WOW!house this year, showcasing lighting concepts that subtly transform the domestic environment.

The British manufacturer has supplied its intelligent lighting controls to both the Phillip Jeffries Morning Room and Turnell and Gigon Group Drawing Room, forming part of the showhouse’s 22 curated environments.

These multiple design zones are notable for combining contemporary aesthetics with advanced technology.

Paul Wafer, managing director of Rako Controls, said: "WOW!house is a unique celebration bringing together some of the most talented names in the design industry.

“We are delighted to be involved in this year's event… Great lighting should enhance the way a space feels without drawing attention to itself, and intelligent control plays an important role in creating that experience.”

The Morning Room by Sara Cosgrove, designed in collaboration with wallpaper brand Phillip Jeffries, uses subtle transitions and a soft colour palette as an “analogue sanctuary” – somewhere that encourages visitors to pause, reflect and reconnect.

In contrast, the Drawing Room by Albion Nord reinterprets Georgian interiors for contemporary living, with Rako’s lighting control integrated throughout the octagonal space to support transitions from daytime to evening.

The showhouse will also run a programme of talks, tours and events for deeper insight into the creative processes behind each room.

It will be open from June 2-July 2 at the Design Centre in Chelsea Harbour, London.
