The 4,500 sq m Trinnov campus located just outside Paris will include listening spaces, laboratories, a showroom and training facilities.
Trinnov Audio has conceived and designed a new facility to mark its 20th year anniversary. The new headquarters is designed to stimulate creativity, teamwork and provide well-being for the Trinnov staff. When a planned expansion of the Paris metro is complete, the facility will be 20 minutes from the city’s centre. Arnaud Laborie, CEO and co-founder of Trinnov Audio, found the 5,100 sq m plot located 400 metres from the highway.
Out of a total area of 4,500 sq m, the facility will feature 1,000 sq m of acoustic and listening spaces, including 450 sq m of laboratories and 500 sq m of showroom and training space. The 450 sq m of laboratories will include a full-size anechoic chamber with 8m x 8m x 8m dimensions. A passive variable acoustic room and critical listening room will be available for audio testing. There will also be an immersive sound and active acoustics lab, electronic labs and a prototyping workshop as well as smaller testing rooms.
Trinnov will be using the new space provided to expand training programs. The Trinnov complex will enable training for staff and create opportunities for students to use Trinnov products on site.
The new facility will include a 180 sq m, 120 seat multipurpose room that can be used as a cinema, a dubbing stage, or a large-scale conference room. The space can also be turned into a small concert hall. A 70 sq m VIP room will be used to demonstrate the Trinnov’s best performance achievable in a private cinema. There will also be three studios. The first is an immersive studio for Dolby Atmos Home content, the second a small music studio, and lastly a photo or web recording studio.
This facility will not only be used for Trinnov research and developments but will also be available for Trinnov partners to host distributor and dealer events, host conferences and organise joint product launches with other manufacturers. It gives Trinnov the opportunity to produce their own content, host artists, launch albums and stage premieres.
The building was conceived and co-designed by Trinnov and French architect firm GBL. Laborie has worked closely on the development of the facility and aims it to reflect the innovative nature and ambition of Trinnov as it continues to research acoustic performance. By creating the facility from scratch, rather than renting or modernising an existing site, Trinnov has the ability to design each room with the ideal size, proportion, and materials. The first stone will be turned in October 2023 with the opening planned in 2025.
