Optoma has launched its all-in-one UHZ65UST ultra short throw laser projector which offers 4K UHD digital cinema quality images in a space-saving form factor.
Originally unveiled at ISE 2019, the all-in-one design and space-saving form factor produces instant out-of-the-box cinematic experiences without having to mount it on a wall or transport heavy equipment, making it a mobile solution for smaller-sized rooms and apartments.
Unique in its design, the ultra short throw lens projects up to a 120-in image and allows the projector to be placed inches away from the projection surface. The built-in SmartFIT feature is an auto geometry correction system, ensuring straightforward set up using a smartphone.
Powered by NuForce with Dolby Digital support, the projector incorporates a built-in soundbar, as well as several smart home features including voice control, IFTTT and a 4K HDR compatible media player.
Built with individual woofers, as well as aluminium full-range drivers and isolated speaker enclosures for low distortion, the integrated NuForce soundbar offers Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus decoding capabilities to give an immersive viewing experience.
The 3,500 lumens delivers high brightness with 8.3 million pixel images, enabling viewers to project 4K UHD images with four time the detail of a full HD display. HDR10 (High Dynamic Range) and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) compatibility gives life-like colour performance, with bright whites and deeper black levels.
The UHZ65UST integrates with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice control to power the projector on and off, adjust the volume, pause content, and more.
IFTTT support provides smart home automation with smart IoT devices and easy access to popular streaming services through the Optoma Marketplace.
To improve contrast and brightness, the UHZ65UST is ideally used with Optoma’s 100-in ALR101 ambient light rejecting screen.
The projector is now available to pre-order at a price of £3,299.
