Bang & Olufsen showcased its BeoLink SmartHome solution at ISE 2017, allowing users to connect its proprietary systems with other products in the home, with full direct IP control with automation systems from Crestron, Control4 and Savant.
In addition to home automation providers, the BeoLink SmartHome system works with products and services from Danfoss Link, DoorBird, Ecobee, OpenWeather.
A BeoLink Gateway enabler opens up the system, allow the customer to choose from home devices and systems – both installed products and products yet to come.
“In the development of the BeoLink SmartHome the key word for us has been openness and flexibility. Bang & Olufsen is the global leader in creating high quality sound and picture experiences and our ambition is to integrate these experiences with other in-home technology solutions through a simple, cloud-based system. That is exactly what BeoLink SmartHome is doing,” states Christoffer Østergaard Poulsen sr. director of Home Integration at Bang & Olufsen.
Set up of the BeoLink SmartHome is achieved via a real-time configuration tool, pre-installed with hundreds of drivers and based on a simple graphic interface to take the coding out of home automation programming. The manufacturer’s remote control allows homeowners to manage their home automation system and third-party devices.
Cloud services providing a secure remote connection dedicated to Bang & Olufsen solutions allow installers to upgrade or service existing setups from a remote location.
