Basalte has announced it is now shipping the Chopin, its first mechanical keypad, and the flagship Fibonacci keypad.
Fibonacci keypad
Basalte’s new flagship keypad, the Fibonacci, can be used with KNX and Crestron control systems to intuitively control lights, shades, music and more.
Similar to Sentido, the touch-sensitive keypad supports single and long press actions, as well as multitouch functions, next to an integrated RGB LED, temperature sensor and thermostat logic (KNX only).
Making it easy to install in both new constructions and retrofit projects, Fibonacci easily installs on both a one-gang European or American wall box. To easily identify each button’s functionality, the keypad comes with easily exchangeable, back lit labelling. It also features an integrated proximity sensor meaning that the keypad’s labels will illuminate when someone approaches it.
Fibonacci is available in the same high-quality Basalte metal finishes.
Chopin keypad
Earlier this year, Basalte introduced the Chopin keypad, its first mechanical keypad after 12 years of making only touch-sensitive keypads. The new keypad is now shipping worldwide for KNX as well as a low voltage dry contact closure version to seamlessly integrate with any control system. More integrations with Crestron and Lutron HQSX are expected in the future.

The keypad can be used to intuitively dim the lights, control the shades, or play music by pushing the levered buttons.
The front cover is available in the same high-end finishes as all other Basalte products, including aluminium, bronze, brass and more. The levers are available in three finishes: black aluminium, chrome, and gold plated.
Available in one- and two-gang versions, one or two levers are fitted per gang, with or without an integrated RGB LED.
For a consistent and minimalist look, it is also possible to combine Chopin levers with minimalist Basalte sockets.
