Bluesound has unveiled the RC1, a new remote control that will give owners of Bluesound’s Gen 2 and Gen 2i products access to the most commonly used playback controls.
Being sold as a separate accessory from the players, the remote will allow users to skip back or forward on tracks, turn the volume up and down, play and pause, as well as having 10 quick access presets, and two programmable custom buttons.
Able to use immediately, the IR remote control does not require any programming or set up. The RC1 is designed to work straight out of the box with any Gen 2 or Gen 2i Bluesound player, unless a user wants to assign functions to the two programmable buttons on the device.
RC1 features eight IR channels to avoid conflict with other infrared control devices in the home.
As an added benefit, the RC1 will also work with BluOS Enabled products from sister brand, NAD Electronics, including the Masters M50.2 Digital Music Player, Masters M10 BluOS Streaming Amplifier, C 658 BluOS Streaming DAC (coming soon), and a number of products from the custom install line.
Bluesound’s RC1 will be available in a sleek matte black finish from 1st December, at a suggested retail price of £49 / €69 / US$59 / CA$79.
