Control4 now integrates with DoorBird

Home automation and control company, Control4 has certified its DoorBird driver, meaning that DoorBird IP door stations can now be integrated directly into a Control4 system.

Made in Berlin by Bird Home Automation Group, DoorBird IP intercoms can now be accessed directly from Control4 interfaces without the additional cost of a third-party driver.

Straightforward to setup, the certified driver recognises the doorbell, video camera and motion sensor of the door station immediately after installation, communicating over a shared network via hardwired PoE or Wi-Fi.

The certified driver allows audio and video calls from the door station to come through to the Control4 touch panels or the OS 3 app. It also gives the homeowner a live feed of the entrance area via the DoorBird camera.

When there is someone at the door, a ringtone can play through the home’s audio system, which the user can then answer by opening the electronic door lock or garage door via the DoorBird icon or the DoorBird app.

The new certified driver from Control4 is available now free-of-charge and can be found in the Control4 Composer online database.
