Epson intros first ultra short-throw projector

Epson has announced the launch of six projectors for the home cinema, among which is its EH-LS100 laser ultra short-throw model.

Designed for small spaces, the EH-LS100 can be placed as little as 6cm away from a wall to produce an image measuring between 70 and 130-ins.

The projector incorporates 3LCD technology and offers Full HD resolution and a contrast ration of 2,500,000:1. It also packs in 4,000 lumens of brightness.

The EH-LS100 has three HDMI inputs (one of which is MHL-compatible), built-in 16W speakers and WiFi connectivity, making it fully controllable via the Epson app.

Epson are expected to release the ultra short-throw projector in November 2017.

Other additions to the manufacturer’s home entertainment line include EH-TW610, EH-TW650, EH-TW5400, EH-TW5600 and EH-TW5650 3LCD projectors – all of which offer Full HD resolution, with light outputs ranging from 2,500 to 3,100 lumens and contrast rations ranging from 10:000:1 to 60,000:1. The EH-TW5600 and EH-TW5650 will also offer vertical lens shift correction.

These models will be released ahead of the EH-LS100 in October 2017.
