Silicon Labs and Ezlo Innovations have teamed up to simplify the smart home experience with new control hubs that are among the first to use the Silicon Labs Z-Wave 700 Series Module.
Available now in the US, and due to become available in other regions outside of the US later this year, the new Ezlo Secure and Ezlo Plus hubs include security and performance features optimised by Silicon Labs Z-Wave wireless technology.
Ezlo hubs allow customers to control Z-Wave, Zigbee, and over 27,000 Wi-Fi devices that can be paired with voice assistants. It also provides options for both DIY and professionally monitored home security. With local control, it can also enhance privacy and increase responsiveness.
The built-in battery keeps it operational even if there is a power outage. Customers also have the option of subscribing to the Ezlo Protect security monitoring service, which will use 4G LTE backup to maintain connection if internet service drops.
Ezlo’s new hubs are also Z-Wave Long Rage ready and will be able to take advantage of Silicon Labs’ recently announced Z-Wave LR support for existing Z-Wave 700 series products, allowing devices to communicate at distances greater than one mile.
The Ezlo Secure and Ezlo Plus smart hubs are on display at the virtual CES this week, along with Ezlo’s new solutions and services for markets such as energy, property management, and age-in-place, as well as smart home and security.
