UK distributor, Sound Design Distribution, has introduced LUMIN’s T3 music player to the UK.
Replacing the acclaimed T2 model, the T3 is the first LUMIN with a DAC to feature the brand’s all-new processing system, offering heightened processing power and storage capacity for greater resampling flexibility and futureproofing.
Working with the company’s established dual-mono ES9028Pro SABRE DAC platform, LUMIN’s new processing technology provides the versatile upsampling and downsampling of every supported digital music format, including MQA, DSD, FLAC and WAV, up to DSD256/PCM384.
The T3’s digital output stage offers USB with native DSD512 support, PCM 44.1-384kHz, 16-32-bit, stereo, and BNC SPDIF handling PCM 44.1kHz-192kHz and 16-24-bit DSD (DoP, DSD over PCM) 2.8MHz, 1-bit. For analogue the dual-mono signal path extends through a precision output stage featuring technology from LUMIN’s flagship X1 streamer to deliver ultra-low-noise and high-dynamic range to XLR balances and RCA unbalanced outputs.
Matching the quality of its audio performance, the T3’s CNC panelled construction, which provides upgraded structural rigidity and shielding, is milled to the silky luxury finish of LUMIN’s high-end models.
Users will have access to a range of music via native support for TIDAL, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz, Spotify, Spotify Connect and AirPlay-compatibility, as well as the powerfully intuitive LUMIN App. It also features a LEEDH lossless volume control, now included on all LUMIN players, which employs an innovative adjustment algorithm that eliminates rounding errors.
Available from September, the LUMIN T3 music player will come in natural or black anodised aluminium, with a typical retail price of £4,195, including VAT.
