At ISE, Luxul announced that its 18-port PoE+ L2/L3 AMS-1816P managed Gigabit switch is now shipping.
On show at ISE, the AMS-1816P uses a plug-and-play installation method as well as featuring a user-friendly management interface, QoS and VLAN support, and fast switching capacity.
To ensure reliability and uptime, the switch has self-healing features, including Auto-Recovery and PoE Power Scheduling. The Auto-Recovery enables the switch to power cycle unresponsive PoE devices, while the PoE Power Scheduling mode allows switch PoE ports to be turned on or off on a schedule.
The 18-port switch is equipped with two 1 Gigabit SFP ports to connect additional switches via fibre-optic cable or twisted-pair copper when using SFP modules to enable network expansion in larger installations.
Easily integratable with AV rack systems, the compact designed AMS-1816P features rear panel ports, front-facing green or blue LEDs (user selectable), and variable speed fans for quiet operation.
