Lyngdorf Audio launches new amplifier

Lyngdorf Audio has launched a new power amplifier MXA-8400 with Purifi technology.

The MXA-8400 is based on Purifi Eigentakt technology, combined with Lyngdorf Audio’s new PowerPerfect power supply design.

With 8 amplifier channels the MXA-8400 works with the multichannel processors Lyngdorf MP-40 2.1 and MP-60 2.1, which decode up to sixteen output channels for Dolby Atmos and DTS-X home cinemas. The MP-40 and MP-60 have been updated with HDMI 2.1 and Tidal Connect including Dolby Atmos Music. The  MZA-8400 can deliver 8 x 400 watts of power.

It incorporates Purifi EIGENTAKT amplifier technology, Lyngdorf Audio’s power supply PowerPerfect, and a 4- layer PCB for signal purity and grounding. The Purifi EIGENTAKT technology features EEC circuit Purifi Eigentakt with Eigentakt ErrorCorrection (EEC) and produces low Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) at any frequency and any power level, as well as Inter Modulation Distortion (IMD).

The result is a neutral sound performance, with negligible audible noise and no sonic fingerprint. The PowerPerfect power supplies 8 amplifier channels with a combined 3.2 kilowatts of output power.

The basis for each amplifier channel is provided by the Channel Balancing Technology and integrated filtering. The 8 output channels are bridgeable in pairs, delivering up to 4 x 800 watts.

The MXA-8400 launches at the CEDIA Expo 2023, September 7-9 at the Colorado Convention Centre, USA.
