NETGEAR shows commitment to advancing WiFi performance by introducing the Nighthawk Mesh WiFi System.
The new performance line will join the growing segment of WiFi advanced solutions – WiFi 6 mesh systems.
Until now, NETGEAR has been providing advanced WiFi solutions with its award-winning Orbi WiFi Mesh System. But the launch of the Nighthawk line of performance routers has been designed for those customers who prefer to have greater capabilities to customise the settings for personalisation and optimisation of their network.
The new Nighthawk WiFi 6 Mesh System is designed for tech enthusiasts, delivering the experience of reliable and flexible WiFi coverage with specialised features such as Dynamic QoS, which automatically prioritises both video streaming and gaming traffic.
A robust and adaptable system, NETGEAR will continue adding features to the new Nighthawk Mesh WiFi System.
The Nighthawk Mesh System comes with one or two high-powered satellites to ensure well-defined, super-fast and highly-reliable broadband WiFi coverage across the entire home. Homeowners can eliminate dead zones by adding satellites where required or to scale up when moving to a larger house.
For a quick and easy setup, the free Nighthawk App is available on Apple iOS or Android OS and can also be used to manage the network from a mobile device.
A Nighthawk Mesh WiFi 6 router or a satellite supports dual-band WiFi with up to 1.8Gbps using the latest WiFi 6 and is an ideal companion for the latest iPhone or Samsung smart phone and the new WiFi 6 capable gadgets introduced over the past several months.
The WiFi 6 back-haul for mesh systems improves utilisation of WiFi channels with its use of faster and better efficiencies over WiFi 6, leading to legacy devices also experiencing enhanced connectivity.
The router comes with two Gigabit Ethernet ports (one for the internet and the other for the LAN) while the satellite comes with one Gigabit Ethernet port.
This week during CES, NETGEAR has also introduced the Nighthawk AX6 AX5400 WiFi 6 6-Stream Router (RAX50) and the NETGEAR AX1800 4-Stream WiFi 6 Mesh Extender (EAX20).
The company has also been celebrated as CES 2020 Innovation Awards Honoree for its Nighthawk M5 5G WiFi 6 Mobile Router (MR5200).
The Nighthawk Mesh WiFi 6 System with one router and a satellite (MK62) will ship this month for a suggested retail price of £229.99. The router and two satellite (MK63) kit will be available later in Q1 with pricing announced at the same time.
The Nighthawk AX6 AX5400 WiFi 6 6-Stream Router (RAX50) will have a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of £239.99 while the NETGEAR AX1800 4-Stream WiFi 6 Mesh Extender (EAX20) will have a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of £129.99. Both will be available in Q1 2020.
