Onkyo debuts new flagship AVR for high-end home entertainment

Onkyo has added its new TX-RZ70 flagship 11.2, 140-watt-per-channel audio video receiver (AVR) to its line of home entertainment solutions.

With advanced immersive audio technologies included, the TX-RZ70 provides high-performance audio and studio-level processing for music, home theatre and gaming.

As standard, the new AVR comes with HDMI 2.1, 8K/4K resolution, and 40Gps speeds with full bandwidth functionality for fast refresh rates to keep up with the latest gaming consoles.

With the Dirac Live Room Correction Full Bandwidth system included, installers can create the best sound for the particular room’s layout. Optional user upgrades are available for Dirac Live Bass Control, which uses machine learning and AI to quickly determine ideal settings for any layout.

Onkyo’s TX-RZ70 AVR includes advanced music streaming and connectivity, and works with smart home assistants such as Alexa, Hey Google, and Siri. Roon Ready certification allows users access to their entire high-resolution music libraries following a firmware update coming in September 2023.

The TX-RZ70 AVR model joins the award-winning Onkyo AVRs, featuring THX Certification, Klipsch Optimised Mode for peak performance with compatible hi-fi speakers, and IMAX Enhanced for clearer, brighter video and immersive audio.

Available from spring, the Onkyo TX-RZ70 AVR has an SRP of £3,099 / €3,299.
