Pioneer adds two stereo receivers to multi-room line

Pioneer has unveiled the SX-N30AE and SX-10AE, two receivers incorporating support for FireConnect, DTS-Play Fi and with Chromecast built-in.

Designed for multi-room systems, the SX-10AE and slightly pricier SX-N30AE have high power outputs – 135W per channel for the SX-N30AE, and 100W per channel for the SX-10AE – and a high signal-to-noise ratio through optimisation of the circuit blocks.

Both receivers are compatible with FireConnect (controlled through the iOS or Android Pioneer Remote app), DTS Play-Fi (through the Pioneer Music Control App) and with Chromecast.

Connections on the Pioneer SX-10AE include four analogue inputs, one line out and a subwoofer pre-out.

Its sister mode, the SX-N30AE, has six analogue inputs, a moving-magnet phono input, optical and coaxial sockets plus line out and subwoofer ports. There are also two USBs positioned on the front of the receiver. The SX-N30AE also packs in Bluetooth connectivity and built-in WiFi, as well as AirPlay for iOS devices.

Pioneer’s SX-N30AE and SX-10AE receivers are available in October. The former is priced at £550 in the UK, with the coming in at less than half the price, at £230.
