Crestron develops Configure Pro platform to ‘remove friction’ in residential integration

Crestron has developed a professional configuration platform to help residential dealers deploy its Home OS projects more efficiently - and with less reliance on custom programming.

Configure Pro aims to streamline system configuration through standardised workflows that reduce setup friction, shorten training cycles, and help dealer teams maintain consistency across growing projects.

It marks the next stage in the evolution of Crestron’s residential software platform, building on more than a decade of development that began with its Pyng setup software and later matured into Home OS.

Shaped by feedback from early-access dealers, Configure Pro introduces tools geared towards complex configuration tasks: clear input and output labelling simplifies audio and video routing, while visual keypad configuration provides a more readable layout for actions, engraving and button behavior.

At the same time, a visual Sequence Editor offers support for delays and conditional logic to help integrators build, understand and maintain system behavior without writing code.

Michael Short, vice president of marketing operations & residential at Crestron, said: “The best smart homes start with the best tools.

“Dealer time is valuable, and every minute spent searching, correcting, or waiting on another team member is time that could be spent moving the project forward.

“Configure Pro is designed to remove those small points of friction that add up across a real installation.”

Crestron also recently expanded the validated scale of its Home deployments, opening the platform up to larger and more complex projects.

The company’s worldwide Technical Institute will offer dedicated Configure Pro training resources to facilitate adoption, including self-paced content and live educational sessions.

Additional resources, documentation and community support will be available through Crestron’s online dealer channels.
