Pioneer has announced the launch of two receivers: the VSX-LX303 and VSX-LX503.
Designed for both cinephiles and gamers, the VSX-LX503 9.2-ch network AV receiver (180W/ch, 6 ohms, 1 kHz, THD 1%, 1-ch driven) packs supports for both Dolby Atmos or DTS:X surround sound through speaker layouts up to 7.2.4 channels. The VSX-LX303 Receiver also supports 5.2.4-ch or 7.2.2-ch speaker set ups.
Both receivers incorporate Pioneer’s Direct Energy amplification, implemented to “leverage high simultaneous power output and MCACC calibration for studio-quality surround-sound.” The receivers’ UHD 4K/60 Hz pass-through support via HDMI also covers BT.2020, 4:4:4, and 24-bit video as well as HDR in Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG formats.
Dual-band WiFi additionally provides a host of audio streaming services available via Pioneer smartphone apps to the main room and other spaces equipped with speakers and components supporting FlareConnect or DTS Play-Fi technology. Chromecast is also built-in allows users to stream from supported apps and control music by voice via devices supporting the Google Assistant.
The VSX-LX503’s Powered Zone 2 and Powered Zone 3 further equip the receiver for multi-room audio, accompanied hi res support and a phono stage.
The receiver is RS-232C-compliant with IP control for PC setup and home automation.
Pioneer’s latest receivers will be released in June, available in black or silver.
