Russound has launched the AVA Series of mini-AVRs to enhance the audio performance of TVs, from a slim-line product that minimises intrusion into the living space.
The two models in the AVA Series, the AVA2.1 and AVA3.1 enable TV audio to be routed via a amplifier to any in-ceiling, in-wall, bookshelf or passive soundbar loudspeakers. The compact AVAs are perfect for mounting behind the TV, within an in-wall back box or attached to the TV mount.
Audio input from the TV is via HDMI ARC, with the added benefit of CEC control for use with any modern TV without a special dedicated remote control, the TV remote controlling the volume of the AVA.
With most modern TVs incorporating streaming audio service apps, Apple Airplay and Chromecast, the TV and AVA combination can function as the audio hub for music playback within the room via the HDMI ARC connection. Additional digital optical, analogue line level and Bluetooth 5.0 inputs allow the connection of external devices, making the AVA into a mini-receiver.
The AVA2.1 contains two speaker level outputs with a 50 watt per channel amplifier and a line level subwoofer output for use with a powered sub. The 50 watt per channel, three channel AVA3.1 can also be used with ceiling and wall mounted speakers.
The AVRs will be distributed exclusively in the UK by Connected Distribution.
