Shelly Group rolls out new sensing, control and dimming for residential and pro installers

Shelly Group has introduced three new solutions simplifying access control, lighting management and upgrades for modern electrical systems.

With multiprotocol connectivity spanning Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, and Matter, launches include the BLU Door/Window ZB sensor; the Dimmer 0/1–10V PM Gen4; and the Smart Light Bundle.

BLU Door/Window ZB sensor

Designed for environments like multi-dwelling units (MDUs), hotels, and office spaces, this compact sensor combines a magnetic reed sensor with an integrated G-sensor to detect door and window movements.

It also measures ambient light levels and tilt angle to allow for more advanced automations, based on brightness or partially opened windows.

Bluetooth 5.0 support offers up to 10m indoor and 30m outdoor range (depending on environmental conditions), while Zigbee enables mesh networking for extended coverage.

When operating via Bluetooth, a gateway is required for remote access and cloud integration - supported by Shelly devices including those from the Plus, Gen3 and Gen4 series.

Alternatively, Zigbee connectivity integrates with existing hubs across many smart home platforms.

Communication is secured using AES-128 encryption, with the sensor’s energy-efficient design said to deliver up to five years of battery life under typical usage.

In practice, the sensor can trigger a range of smart actions like turning off heating when a window is opened, activating lighting upon entry, or sending alerts in the event of unexpected access.

Dimmer 0/1–10V PM Gen4

Intended for compatibility with both 0–10V and 1–10V drivers, this lighting controller aims to support a range of LED luminaires and strips, as well as motor control and ventilation applications.

Powered by the ESP32-C6 processor, it supports multiple protocols including Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, Zigbee, and Matter for system integration without the need for an additional gateway.

The device also features built-in power monitoring across voltage, current, and energy consumption to support energy efficiency.

While it can be operated using existing wall switches (single or double button), the controller also delivers advanced functionality such as schedules, scenes, scripting, and Night Mode — automatically reducing lighting levels during predefined hours.

With support for KNXnet/IP, it can be integrated into professional building management systems across offices, hotels and retail environments.

Combined with local control capabilities and compatibility with Matter ecosystems, it can operate flexibly without an internet connection.

Smart Lighting Bundle

Positioned as an entry point into smart lighting, this kit includes three A60 LED bulbs (4000K) and the compact Shelly 1 Mini Gen4 relay.

Developed in partnership with energy-efficient lighting brand V-TAC, the relay enables smart control of existing lighting circuits, adding connectivity and automation without the need to replace full installations.

Supporting loads of up to 240V AC and 30V DC, the Shelly 1 Mini Gen4 operates via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, with Matter compatibility integrating across major smart home ecosystems.

Users can create schedules, scenes, and automations on the Shelly Smart Control app, as well as control lighting remotely or via voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Apple Home.
