Sony UK and Ireland has announced that the XH81, XH80 and X70 4K HDR LCD televisions are now shipping.
Powered by its 4K HDR Processor X1, the XH81 and XH80 series features advanced algorithms to cut noise and boost detail.
Featuring TRILUMINOS Display, also powered by the X1 processor, the wider colour spectrum reproduces more colours than most conventional televisions. The technology recreates pictures that are as lifelike as possible by analysing and processing data in every image to make colours more natural and precise.
Both XH81 and XH80 models support the Dolby Vision HDR format to deliver striking highlights, deeper darks and vibrant colours. The models also include the new X-Balance speaker for TVs 55-in and above, allowing high quality sound in an ultra-thin TV design, while Dolby Atmos compatibility brings space and realism to the audio.

To fit into a smart home environment, both XH81 and XH80 lines have Google Assistant via the Android TV platform with Google Play Store and Chromecast built-in, giving users more options as to how they access content, services and devices.
Sony has also improved its user experience by enhancing its original user interface menus and voice controls. Using Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa enabled devices, users have a wider range of options as to how they control their TV.
Additionally, Apple AirPlay 2 users can stream movies, music, games and photos to their television straight from their iPhone, iPad or Mac, and allows the user to control their television from these devices in a secure way.
Also being made available today is the Sony X70 4K HDR TV. Using 4K X-Reality PRO, images are upscaled closer to true 4K quality.

Described as being simple but smart, the X70 offers a no-frills smart TV experience with a built-in internet browser and one-click access to YouTube and Netflix apps.
