TP Vision has announced a new higher performance Philips 8807 Ambilight TV and a multi-feature Philips B8507 3.1 Dolby Atmos soundbar for its Performance Series.
The Performance Series of products carries the ‘The One’ message, to tell users that the products offer a similar performance, design and quality, including key features, as premium models but at a mid-range price point.
Available in a wide variety of sizes, the new Performance Series will include Philips TV’s largest set to date, introducing an 86” model.
Philips 5th Gen P5 processing suite is used to ensure a clear, crisp, high-quality picture with a wide colour gamut and 120Hz LCD panel.
HDR support is also available and includes HLG, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ compatibility.
With an ultra-thin silver bezel design on the sides and top, the new TV allows a more direct connection to the three-sided Ambilight system. The lower edge of the TV features a narrow silver bezel to complement the slim, angled central stand for the 43” to 65” screen sizes. The 77” and 86” models feature silver stick feet.
With gamers in mind, the display includes HDMI 2.1 capability including e-ARC, VRR support for 4K from 48Hz to 120Hz at a full bandwidth of 48Gbps, as well as FreeSync Premium compatibility and Auto-Low-Latency mode. Input lag is just 9ms.
A new on-screen Game bar gives gamers quick access to picture and sound settings via the simplified menu. It also allows gamers to enable VRR and AMD FreeSync.
The TV set has twin down-firing speakers and 20W system power for strong sound quality.
It is also part of the Philips Home Wireless System, which is powered by DTS Play-Fi technology, creating an app-controlled audio streaming platform for the entire home, wirelessly connecting compatible TVs, mobile devices, soundbars and speakers.
‘The One’ Soundbar gives users a simple audio upgrade option for the Philips Home Wireless system, offering consumers a flexible solution to combine multiple products to suit their needs.
