AWOL Vision has kicked off CES 2026 by introducing a flagship ultra-short throw series, as well as the expansion of its anti-rainbow (Anti-RBE) technology.
Headlined by the Aetherion Max and Aetherion Pro, the series is thought to offer the world’s sharpest 4K triple-laser ultra-short throw (UST) projection.
Designed for home cinema, large-scale sports viewing and high-end gaming, the models draw on PixelLock technology: an optical, mechanical and digital alignment system designed to maintain full 4K detail on screens up to 200 inches, a first for the UST category.
Andy Zhao, founder and CEO of AWOL Vision, said: “Aetherion is the culmination of everything we’ve learned in pushing UST boundaries.
“From scale and sharpness to speed, it outclasses every 4K UST projector.”
PixelLock synchronises each pixel and compensates for optical tolerances, temperature changes and UST projection angles, even at large screen sizes.

Performance specifications
The Aetherion models offer up to 3,300 ISO lumens of brightness (2,600 on the Pro), 6,000:1 native contrast, Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced and HDR10+ support, alongside black-level control and dynamic tone mapping.
Anti-rainbow technology, included, aims to reduce visual artifacts.
For gaming, Aetherion provides low-latency performance with 1ms-class input at 240Hz, VRR, ALLM and support for Dolby Vision Gaming.
Anti-RBE technology
At the show, AWOL Vision’s subsidiary, Valerion, separately announced the expansion of its Anti-RBE technology across its long-throw projector lineup.
The upgrade, delivered via Android and DLP software updates, is designed to reduce rainbow artifacts while maintaining brightness, clarity and motion performance.
The Aetherion Max and Pro will be on display throughout CES 2026 at AWOL Vision’s booth in Central Hall, booth 20410.
