Bang & Olufsen has launched the new Beosound A5 spaced aluminium from its Factory 5 in Denmark.
The A5 is made from more than 3500 aluminium discs which give the illusion of floating at the front of the speaker. The A5 is designed to be carried from room to room and can be placed on the floor, shelf or table and due to an IP65 water and dustproof rating, Beosound A5 can also be taken outside. It features 12 hours of playtime and a wireless phone charger integrated into the top panel of the speaker, and it is controlled by either a user-interface or directly from the Bang & Olufsen App.
The new software updates for the portable speaker unlock new features through Bang & Olufsen’s software platform, Mozart. The A5 features automatic stereo pairing through ultra-wide-band technology, which means that two Beosound A5 speakers can automatically pair once in range of one another. Using the Bang & Olufsen app, Beosound A5 can also integrate into a multi-product Bang & Olufsen home audio setup.
Fluid sweet spot will also be introduced, when stereo paired, the B&O app will let Beosound A5 fix an ideal sound output based on the listener’s position.
