Bowers & Wilkins is introducing two new additions to its Signature line by launching the stand-mount 705 Signature and floor-standing 702 Signature from its 700 Series range.
The premium loudspeakers from the original 700 Series, which were launched in 2017, already delivered exceptional performance using carefully selected technologies first seen in the high-end 800 Series Diamond, such as the Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top assembly, unique Continuum cone drivers and Aerofoil profile bass drivers.
Bridging the performance gap between the Aluminium Double Dome used in the 600 Series and the Diamond Dome used in the 800 Series Diamond, Bowers & Wilkins has used its Carbon Dome tweeter technology.
Achieving its Signature status, the new models have improved acoustic performance via an upgraded crossover design, and features a new carefully crafted, luxury cabinet finish.
The new floor-standing 702 Signature loudspeaker
Both models now feature specially treated and upgraded bypass capacitors sourced from Mundorf, larger heatsinking, and the 702 also has an upgraded LF capacitor on the bass section of the crossover.
The new upgraded finish shows the 705 Signature and the 702 Signature in a new Datuk Gloss ebony-coloured veneer with a distinctive grain. For environmental benefits, the real-wood veneers were sustainably sourced from Italian wood company, Alpi.

The custom designed finish means that each pair of speakers is unique, with no two models sharing the same grain pattern or figuring. Nine coats of finish, including primer, base coat, and lacquer, is applied by Bowers & Wilkins to create its luxury appearance, as well as adding bright metal trim rings around the mid/bass and midrange cones, plus silver finished tweeter grilles.
A Signature identity plate is also added to the rear panel to display its status.
The 702 Signature is priced at £4499 and the 705 Signature is priced at £2699. They are both available now.
