Fyne Audio advances loudspeakers to become an all-IsoFlare driver brand

Scottish manufacturer Fyne Audio has unveiled its new F500E loudspeaker series at this year's Warsaw Audio Show, advancing the company's product line-up.

Replacing the F300 series, the F500E brings Fyne's IsoFlare point source technology to the entry-level range to make Fyne Audio an all-IsoFlare driver brand.

The new series consists of a four-strong line-up, including the compact F5E, to offer IsoFlare-based speakers at a new low price point.

At the heart of the series is the F501E floor-stander, featuring a 6” IsoFlare driver to deliver immersive sound and stereo imaging. The F5E LCR and larger F502E LCR featuring respective 5” and 8” IsoFlare drivers round out the range for on-wall, table-top and home cinema applications.

Fyne Audio's proprietary IsoFlare point source drive unit across all F500E models delivers isotropic energy radiation with point source constant directivity. This advanced driver technology, previously only found in higher-end models, has underpinned the brand’s global success and affordability.

Each IsoFlare unit in the F500E Series features Fyne’s signature multi-fibre cone with FyneFlute roll surround and titanium dome tweeters using powerful neodymium magnet motors.

The multi-fibre paper cones are engineered for mid-range sound and clean transient behaviour, while the FyneFlute surround technology terminates cone energy to minimise harmful resonances.

The drivers use high-rigidity titanium diaphragms—19mm for the 5” models and 25mm for the 6” and 8” versions— to push break-up modes beyond 30kHz for extended treble response.

A waveguide in the driver is designed to shape the HF wave expansion into the room, giving the IsoFlare driver a full-bandwidth, time-aligned radial dispersion pattern for accurate musical reproduction.

The F500E series also benefits from detailed crossovers featuring high-quality precision components such as low-loss LF laminated core inductors and high-grade HF film capacitors. These components, combined with critical auditioning, ensure seamless signal transfer and audio fidelity.

Bi-wired sockets provide flexible connection options for the F501E, with all models in the series getting high-purity copper internal wiring for signal clarity.

F500E cabinets are a traditional box shape, constructed from high-rigidity MDF with driver support bracing panel and acoustic damping material to reduce overall cabinet colouration.

Fyne’s patented BassTrax Tractrix Diffuser System is integrated into the downward-firing port, converting plain wave port energy into a 360-degree spherical wavefront across a tractrix profile diffuser cone. The result is uniform LF sound distribution that makes the speakers less sensitive to room positioning.

The F5E and LCR models come equipped with integral wall brackets for flexible installation options across both traditional stereo and home cinema set-ups. Each speaker in the F500E Series is finished in black wood grain vinyl and supplied with a black magnetic grille. For the F501E, the grille can be attached to the rear of the cabinet when not in use at the front.
