Fyne Audio develops retro loudspeaker portfolio

Fyne Audio has announced the launch of an enhanced retro loudspeaker range.

The Vintage Classic Gold SP (Special Production) Series, previewed at the Munich High End show, presents a cabinet style inspired by 1960s and 70s hi-fi.

The Series launches four models using a multi-fibre paper LF cone, terminated with Fyne’s patented FyneFlute roll surround to improve transient response.

The new line-up advances the company’s high-end Vintage and Classic ranges, bridging the price gap and available worldwide.

Ferrite motors are used across the range to keep magnetic field stable, alongside copper wound voice coils over an aluminium former forheat dissipation during high volume.

The Vintage Classic Gold SP incorporates high density birch ply cabinet construction, IsoFlare drivers with improved neodymium tweeter, and Fyne’s BassTrax porting system.

The smallest Gold SP VIII model develops Fyne’s flagship F1-8 stand mount loudspeaker, using a ferrite magnet system with waveguide to ensure radial dispersion of high frequencies.

Gold X, XII and XV SP use a 3” titanium dome compression tweeter driven by a Neodymium magnet system to push crossover frequency down to 750Hz and lower distortion.

Further developments across the range include upgraded internal wiring, gold-plated ETI connection terminals and fully Deep Cryogenically Treated (DCT) crossovers using Fyne’s own cryogenic facility.
