Hikvision uses audio & strobe lights to deter crime & reduce false alerts

Building on its popular AcuSense surveillance cameras, Hikvision has introduced the AcuSense Audio and Strobe Light Camera Series, using audio and strobe lights to help deter trespassers and reduce false alarms.

The new camera series combines advanced machine learning with strobe lighting and audio warnings in a single unit to provide an autonomous solution to deter intruders.

The cameras also reduce false alarms by up to 90% thanks to Hikvision’s second generation AcuSense intelligence. It can accurately classify humans and vehicles and filter out harmless motion events caused by animals, bad weather or foliage.

Audio responses can be customised with pre-recorded messages that play out up to 60dB from a built-in speaker. The AcuSense Audio and Strobe Light Camera Series comes with 10 audio options and the ability to adjust the pattern and frequency of the strobe light.

Users will receive an instant notification when an event occurs via the Hik-Connect App. This allows security personnel to view the footage in real-time on a smartphone or tablet and initiate two-way audio communication with trespassers within a radius of 49ft (15m) of the camera.

The cameras are ideal for protecting private residences, retail shops, warehouses, offices, and other buildings.

The Hikvision AcuSense Audio and Strobe Light Cameras are available in fixed turret, fixed bullet and speed dome configurations with resolutions ranging from 4 MP to 8 MP.
