Home cinema launch: Denon announces three new AV receivers

Denon is targeting small to mid-sized home cinemas with the launch of three affordable S-Series 8K audio/video receivers.

The Denon AVR-S770H 7.2-channel 8K AV receiver [pictured above] combines 3D surround sound featuring Dolby Atmos and DTS:X with 8K video processing. The Denon AVR-S670H and AVC-S670H are 5.2-channel products that also offer 8K video and high-definition surround sound featuring Dolby TrueHD, and DTS HD Master Audio decoders. The AVR-S670H features an analogue FM tuner, the AVC-S670H is a pure AV-amplifier.

All models offer a high-quality DSP, digital-to-analogue converters (DACs) and a power supply that delivers the energy to five or seven amplifiers each capable of providing 145W (6 ohms/1%THD/1ch).

They support 8K video and contain the latest HDMI technology featuring HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 8K/60 and 4K/120 pass-through.

HEOS integration offers seamless music playback, allowing users to stream and share music from online services such as Spotify, Amazon Music HD, Tidal and TuneIn internet radio. Further smart devices can connect by AirPlay or Bluetooth. Bluetooth transmission allows BT-headphones to connect wirelessly to the receiver.

Denon’s Setup Assistant in high-definition video provides step-by-step instructions to get started and Audyssey MultEQ room correction technology optimises the listening experience in any room.

The AVR-S770H, AVR-S670H and AVC-S670H will be available early September.
