The new hood is fully compliant with UK and EU building and IEE regulations and is crafted to deliver fire resistance for up to 90 minutes. It also complies with Parts B, L, C and E regulations.
While providing fire safety functions, the speaker hood also offers a dramatic decrease in sound leakage by reducing noise transmission by up to -9dB across all sound ranges.
Its innovative triple-layer acoustic construction also limits backward sound escape, making it ideal for installation for any locations that need sound suppression and improved acoustics.
The hood is ideally suited for 6.5-in and 8-in in-ceiling speaker installations such as height channels for cinema rooms and when sound reduction between floors in apartments and hotel rooms is required.
Installation of the hood is quick and maintenance-free and can be installed in both new builds and existing buildings. The hood is designed to be lightweight and flexible, making it possible to install from above or below the ceiling for convenience. It is also compatible with suspended or plasterboard ceilings.
