Marantz launches new AV receivers for home cinema

Marantz is introducing two new AV receivers to its SR-series, the SR5014 and the SR6014 Ultra HD 4K AV receivers.

Featuring the latest in audio and video technologies, the SR6014 features 9-channel amplification and IMAX Enhanced upgrades, as well as 4K Ultra HD and the addition of Dolby Atmos Height Virtualisation to both models.

The SR6014 boasts high-current discrete power amplifiers on all channels to deliver 185 watts of power per each of the nine channels, as well as featuring Marantz’s flagship Hyper Dynamic Amplification Module (HDAM) circuitry to provide optimal fidelity and maximum dynamic range of high-resolution files.

Specifically for home cinemas, the SR6014 supports a number of multi-dimensional audio formats including IMAX Enhanced, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and DTS Virtual:X.

It also features 11.2 channel processing power, using an external stereo amp in combination with the internal nine channel amplification makes a full 7.2.4 or 5.2.6 immersive experience possible.

To give home theatre owners a 3D experience without the need for dedicated height or surround speakers, both models add Dolby Atmos Height Virtualisation technology. Users can configure up to seven channels for a 7.1 set up while the technology adds virtual height effects.
