PowerShades’ motor upgrade cuts operating noise

PowerShades updated its Power over Ethernet (PoE) and RF automated shades (battery-powered and DC) with new, quieter motors.

On a standard motor the noise of operation has gone from -55dB to -42dB. The PoE automated shades also draw both power and communications from a single Cat5 cable, removing the need for proprietary hard wiring.
