PureLink unveils 5m passive USB-C Cables with USB4, 8K video and 240W charging

PureLink has expanded its USB-C product portfolio with a new professional-grade micro coax solution, designed for passive transmission across extended distances.

The PureInstall MicroX4 range combines USB4 Gen2x2 bandwidth, triple shielding, silver-plated conductors and enhanced mechanical durability.

MicroX4 cables use an advanced micro-coaxial construction to minimise electromagnetic interference, reduce signal loss and improve flexibility.

They support 8K video via DisplayPort Alt Mode, ultra-fast data transfer and Extended Power Range (EPR) charging up to 240W without requiring active electronics.

The lineup includes straight and 90-degree angled male-to-male cables, male-to-female extensions and portsavers in multiple orientations.

Lengths range from 0.5m to 5m, with optional colour-coded locking clips for on-site identification.

Each cable integrates an e-marker chip to manage power negotiation, Alt Mode support and backward compatibility with legacy equipment.

For secure AV installations, the Secure-Lock-System (SLS) offers 25N retention, while the Tru-Lock-System (TLS) adds optional screw-locking with up to 80N holding force.

PureLink’s MicroX4 series is aimed at demanding professional environments such as rack installations, video conferencing systems and live event production.
