Transparent glass speaker creates directional audio for personal use

Chinese acoustic innovative technology company, Audfly Technology has launched its glass directional speaker as a Kickstarter campaign, reaching 1143% of crowdfunding within the first 10 hours.

The Focusound see-thru glass directional speaker is an innovative and revolutionary sound focusing technology which delivers sound in a highly directed way. Similar to how a spotlight directs a beam of light, Focusound directs a beam of audio directly to targeted listeners and areas.

It creates 360-degree spatial sound without the use of headphones, creating an immersive private audio space but doesn’t disturb others in the room, allowing users to create independent audio zones.

The sound gathering screen, an original screen directional sound technology product developed by Qingting Acoustics, is the latest generation of directional sound technology based on fully transparent films. It uses display semiconductor technology to build sub-micron three-dimensional microstructures as sound units.

The developed multi-channel sound radiation signal processing algorithm and proprietary hardware creates exclusive personal sound fields and spatial sound effects.

The Focusound directional speaker can be integrated with devices such as TVs, tablets, fitness mirrors, gaming, home offices, and more to allow users to enjoy private audio spaces for music, workouts, games, etc without disturbing others in the home.

The crowdfunding campaign will remain open until the beginning of May, and it is expected that by the end of June, the Focusound Screen will begin shipping to customers.
