BS8590:2014 is a full revision of the Audio Visual (AV) Standard and introduces the following principal changes:
- The scope of the document has been broadened to cover all AV type installations in all market sectors
- The scope has been refined to focus on installation principles
- The text has been updated to take account of current market conditions and changes in technology
This British Standard provides recommendations for the installation of AV equipment. It is intended for AV designers and electrical contractors to enable them to ensure the quality and standard of their installation.
