Control4 has announced it is sponsoring the CEDIA Design and Build Conference, a new event for ISE 2020.
Taking place at the Hotel Okura in Amsterdam on Thursday 13th February, the exclusive one-day event is aimed at architects, interior designers, and other design and build professionals working in the residential space to educate them on smart homes.
Giles Sutton, senior vice president of industry engagement at CEDIA will open the conference by welcoming attendees, which will be followed by a RIBA and BIID accredited CPD on ‘Designing The Connected Home’, teaching attendees how technology can be integrated seamlessly into residential designs, how it affects available space, and what benefits it can bring.
Alongside this, Control4 will present a seminar on ‘5 Levels of a Smart Home’, which will look at how those levels can provide different support and care for clients in their homes.
A panel discussion with CEDIA members and interior designers will also feature in the conference programme, followed by an in-depth guided tour of the ISE show, focusing on relevant areas such as audio-visual, lighting and shading, home control, and other home automation technologies.
“We are delighted to sponsor the Design and Build Conference at ISE this year,” commented Brad Hintze, senior director of marketing, Control4. “As clients begin their smart home journey, designers must educate themselves on home technology and begin incorporating it into their designs.
“Rather than being an afterthought, innovation is pushing smart home adoption forward and clients want to incorporate new technology into their homes. In order to be a successful designer in today’s market, it is important to fully understand the entire smart home landscape, from the starting points of DIY to a fully integrated whole-home system.”
CEDIA is working with the British Institute of interior Design (BIID) to bring delegates to the event in collaboration with ISE.
