D-Link, a global connectivity and networking company, is showcasing its newest range of wireless networking and smart home devices at CES 2019 in Las Vegas which kicks off today.
New products in this space from D-Link include a new generation of smart mesh WiFi routers, a number of new mydlink cameras that work with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, as well as new features to the mydlink app.
The show will see D-Link demonstrate the latest D-Link Exo Series with McAfee Protection and mesh-enabled, smart Wi-Fi routers and extenders will be included. The Exo Series provides value-added, premium features which make this range of devices superior to other household networking solutions.
Also on show is D-Link’s new DCS-8600LH Full HD Outdoor Wi-Fi Camera and DCS-8515LH HD Pan & Tilt Wi-Fi Camera adding to the company’s family of surveillance cameras. Compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant with voice control features, both cameras have been designed with the modern smart home in mind.
“Secure, seamless wireless connectivity both in the home and the office is not only needed, it is now expected. Our new Exo Series with McAfee Protection aims to prevent, detect and combat cyber threats, whilst ensuring first class Wi-Fi service,” said Kevin Wen, President at D-Link Europe.
“We are continuing to see consumers grow more comfortable with using smart home devices via voice assistant features, and there are no signs of this slowing down. As we continue to innovate, compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Alexa are a priority for us, and we are thrilled to showcase a number of new products at CES which utilise this” continued Wen.
Security is a key issue D-Link are recognising at the show. The mydlink app has been upgraded and this will also be presented at the show. Giving users more control over their security, the app will now include two new features: Rich Notifications and Smart Recaps. This means that users will receive a notification when motion is detected, and the user can create a short time-lapse video of footage captured and can filter recorded videos by type of event detected. The user is also able to call an emergency contact when notified of activity.
Finally, D-Link will be showcasing its new 5G NR enhanced gateway and its latest HD Wi-Fi camera with built-in smart home hub together with Zigbee-enabled sensors and smart plug.
