ISE grows again for 2020 ’“ what can you expect from the show?

Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) returns to the RAI Amsterdam for the final time on Tuesday 11th February 2020, with 1,300 exhibitors and more than 81,000 visitors expected.

Holding its biggest show to date, ISE delivers the latest developments and technologies from the professional audiovisual industry, filling 15 halls.

Eight of the halls are split into seven technology zones – Residential, Smart Buildings, Audio and Live Events, Digital Signage and DooH, Education Technology, Unified Communications, and new for 2020, the Innovation Zone, a specially designed area for first-time ISE exhibitors to showcase their technology.

With a focus on education, ISE has enhanced its conference programme to appeal the evolution in demographics of visitors at ISE, with a growing proportion eager to learn about the latest technologies and solutions on the market.

Running over five days, ISE 2020’s conference and professional development programme will once again be presented with the tagline ‘Learn, Discover, Be Inspired’. Most of the conferences will be held at the nearby Okura Hotel with a free shuttle bus running between the RAI and the conferences.

One of the new conferences being added to the programme this year is the CEDIA Design & Build Conference which is targeted at architects, interior designers and other design and build professionals in the residential space.

In addition to this conference, CEDIA will also present a new Cybersecurity Workshop, a theory-based interactive workshop that will challenge attendees to produce technical best practice procedures and customer policies around network security and cybersecurity.

The CEDIA Cybersecurity Workshop is the first in a four-day programme of CEDIA paid-for professional development sessions, which will cover a broad range of technology and business topics for custom installers.

CEDIA will also have a stand that will host CEDIA Talks, a series of 20-minute free of charge sessions focusing on emerging trends and new technologies. These will run throughout the duration of ISE.

The Opening Address 2020 will be presented by former Disney executive, Duncan Wardle, who will show how innovation can become part of the day-to-day working culture in the AV business. The Opening Address will take place on the evening of the Smart Building Conference, the evening before the ISE 2020 exhibition officially opens.

The Inavation Awards will return in 2020 for its 14th year to recognise the best in global AV projects and technology, as well as outstanding distributors, project managers and consultant. With a change of venue, the Awards will be held in the Beurs van Berlage.

ISE 2020 will be the final edition held in Amsterdam before moving to a bigger location at the Fira de Barcelona. In previous year, the walkway between Halls 7 and 8 has been the Business Lounge. However, in 2020, this will have a Barcelona theme where attendees can find information about how to get to ISE 2021 and what to expect once they are there.

To mark this significant event, the traditional Closing Keynote will be replaced by an invitation-only event on the Friday where ISE will say goodbye to the RAI and look ahead to the Fira in Barcelona.

Mike Blackman, managing director of ISE said: “The RAI has been a great venue for us for over a decade now, so of course, there is some sadness. I’ll leave with many fond memories of our time there.

“However, I’m also excited. The Fira is a fantastic facility and a much larger space, located in a very attractive destination. The move isn’t simply about growing the numbers: it’s about delivering a better-quality experience to our exhibitors and visitors.”
