Andrew Lucas launches tool for planning VR rooms & smart homes

Andrew Lucas London has announced the release of an online design tool created to allow homeowners to quickly plan smart home projects and receive cost estimations.

The quotation tool encompasses three services offered by the installation company: home cinemas, full-home installation or virtual reality room. For smart home projects, prospective homeowners can input the basic details of a property and choose from 1-3 packages – security, comfort and entertainment.

Options can then be personalised with technology options, finishes and additional control interfaces whilst viewing the price estimate in real-time (including extra costs such as labour, cabling and aftercare) in a lump sum or monthly payments.

“One of the main frustrations a typical smart home customer has, is in understanding the ‘hidden’ costs that occur in a smart home project,” said Krystian Zajac, chairman and founder of Andrew Lucas London. “Our new quotation tool brings complete transparency to the quotation process, letting our customers understand exactly what costs are incurred by certain areas of the smart home and allowing them to tailor their property to suit their needs and budget.”

The tool will be showcased for the first time Andrew Lucas London at the Ideal Home Show 2017 at stand H540, running from 24 March, 2016 to 9 April, 2017 at the Olympia exhibition centre in London. The company will also be running two VR demonstration areas during the show – one dedicated to VR gaming rooms and the other showcasing VR and AR visualisations – facilitated by Oculus Rift headsets.
