Bang & Olufsen introduces Beolab 28 stereo speaker

The Beolab 28 has been unveiled from Bang & Olufsen, its new wireless speaker that combines advanced acoustical innovations with smart speaker features.

Featuring a thin design, the speakers fit anywhere in the home, either standing on the floor or hanging on the wall.

Designed specifically for the Beolab 28, it has three 3” full range drivers placed on the front and one on each side, and a 1” tweeter on the front for optimal treble quality, to create a clear midrange quality, even at very loud levels, as well as a precise and dynamic treble reproduction. For bass that the listener can feel, it features a built-in subwoofer based on a custom-made 6.5” driver, which has a large excursion to obtain a powerful and precise bass.

Its Beam Width Control ensures music reaches the listener’s ear directly in ‘narrow mode’, minimising interference of side wall reflections. However, in ‘wide mode’ the beam diffuses more sound all around the loudspeakers, maintaining a natural tonal balance.

A touch user interface integrated into the top of the Beolab 28 lights up when a user approaches it to allow the user to pause/play, skip, and change the volume. Four favourite buttons also enable the listener to quickly access their favourite radio station or Spotify playlist.

Available in Natural Silver, Black Anthracite, or Bronze Tone Aluminium, the Beolab 28 is combined with speaker covers in high-quality knitted fabric or solid wood to suit the interior. The fabric covers are available in two tones: grey and grey mélange. The wooden covers are available in light oak, oak, smoked oak, and walnut.
