Epson has debuted its Epson LS500 Laser Projection TV, equipped with Epson’s 4K PRO-UHD 3LCD technology with 100-in or 120-in screen sizes on offer.
Combining an ultra short throw laser projector with an ambient light rejecting screen, the LS500 is capable of displaying 4K HDR content with full 10-bit colour processing accepting 100% of the RGB colour signal for every frame, allowing for the Rec. 709 colour space to be displayed.
Advanced black density control is featured to individually pulse the laser light emitting from the Epson Dynamic Laser Array diodes to suppress stray light within the signal, producing a contrast ratio exceeding 2,500,000:1.
Realtime 12-bit analogue to digital video processing is included, being compatible with most colour formats, depths and spaces while simultaneously supporting 4K HDR content at 60 Hz.
An included Android TV operating system with a remote allows users to access voice search with built-in Google Assistant, also allowing users to stream live TV with apps including PlayStation Vue and Youtube TV.
