Harman has unveiled two next-gen flagship loudspeakers at High End Vienna to celebrate JBL's 80th anniversary.
The audio company reveals its Project JBL Everest and Summit K2 models at the premium sound and hi-fi show, taking place from June 4-7 in Austria.
High End Vienna is widely regarded as a leading international trade show, drawing hundreds of exhibitors and often launching flagship audio products throughout its run.
The Everest and K2 floorstanding loudspeakers join JBL’s fifth “Project” loudspeaker family – the Summit Series – as the only one of its kind in the company’s history.
This designation is reserved for statement designs, introduced when the brand believes it has achieved a genuine leap in acoustic engineering.

David Tovissi, vice president and GM at Harman, said: “These are reference loudspeakers built for listeners who refuse to compromise.”
The two new models join Makalu, Pumori and Ama to complete a flagship residential lineup.
It reflects the company’s attempt to translate its professional sound heritage into home systems, maintaining a focus on high dynamics and low distortion in room-friendly formats.
The lineage dates back to models such as the Hartsfield and Paragon, with Project Everest debuting in 1985 as a flagship.
Named after the world’s highest peaks, both this model and the K2 share advanced features like a low-distortion MultiCap crossover network and custom JBL | IsoAcoustic isolation feet.

Isolation feet are designed to decouple speakers from floors or furniture, reducing unwanted vibrations that can blur detail.
Both models will be globally available later this year through authorised Summit partners and retailers, supporting Harman’s wider portfolio of subwoofers, preamplifiers, amplifiers, turntables and headphones.
This year’s edition of High End Vienna marks its debut in the city after relocating from Munich, signalling a new chapter for one of the industry’s global events.
