The recently announced LS50 Wireless II speaker from audio manufacturer, KEF, has received Roon Ready certification from Roon Labs.
Announced in September last year, the LS50 Wireless II utilises the newest technologies developed by KEF, including Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) and 12th generation Uni-Q driver array. With the new W2 platform, LS50 Wireless II also boasts comprehensive connectivity, and supports streaming from all the major music services up to 24bit/38kHz, as well as MQA and DSD.
Being Roon Ready means that Roon transparently discovers, connects to, and delivers bit-perfect audio to LS50 Wireless II with no configuration necessary. The Roon Ready certification enables LS50 Wireless II customers to benefit from the features of Roon’s RAAT protocol, delivering a premium digital music experience.
Roon provides a rich and engaging way to browse, organise and listen to music. Users can easily access artist photos, credits, bios, reviews, lyrics, tour dates, and composers which are built into a surfable digital magazine.
The platform also provides multiroom, multiuser networked audio, offering features such as bit-perfect playback and Signal Path display.
The LS50 Wireless II is KEF’s first Roon Ready speaker.
