Loewe has teamed up with fellow German brand Spectral to deliver a co-branded range of cabinets tailor-made for Loewe’s premium TVs and connected AV equipment.
Cabinet exteriors are fashioned from satin glass in a choice of white, anthracite or petrol blue. Three models are available: Rack 56, Rack 110 and Rack 165, the numerals denoting the overall width in centimetres. The front panel, which lowers to access the interior of the unit, can be specified in satin glass or acoustically transparent fabric. The fabric option comes in black, silver or carbon and is ideal for those who wish to place a speaker inside the cabinet.
Units can be used singly or combined to increase storage capacity, and positioned freestanding or wall-mounted. Should one wish to use the cabinets to divide a room, an additional glass panel may be added to the back for a seamless 360-degree presentation. Each cabinet also comes with one or more height-adjustable glass shelves, the internal configuration varying according to the model. Options include an internal drawer with a mirrored front, a universal adapter to mount a soundbar inside the cabinet, and a circular fabric-covered opening in the base to incorporate a subwoofer.
Smart Charge wireless smartphone charging is an optional feature— place a compatible smartphone on the charging zone on top of the cabinet and built-in Qi inductive charging technology will do the rest. A variety of smartphones are compatible with Smart Charge, including models from Samsung, LG, HTC, Nokia and Motorola. Apple iPhones aren’t currently equipped for inductive charging, but Spectral makes Smart Charge cases for the iPhone 5 onwards.
The Loewe Spectral Rack 56, Rack 110 and Rack 165 will be available from May.
