Rotel has updated its Michi Series 2 with three new models

Rotel has announced the launch of three extensively revised and upgraded Michi Series 2 models with the introduction of the Michi X3 Series 2 Integrated Amplifier, X5 Series 2 Integrated Amplifier and P5 Series 2 Stereo Preamplifier.

Showcasing Michi’s award-winning acoustic engineering design methods, the new models collectively feature over 320 component upgrades. The models have been updated to utilise ultra-high precision 8-channel ESS SABRE 32-bit 768kHz ES9028PRO DACs.

Power supplies and audio circuitry have been reengineered and refined to render music with increased precision and detail with an even more immersive soundstage. The new models also have very low distortion thanks to optimised signal paths and lower-noise circuitry that creates a quiet background for music.

The new Michi X3 Series 2 Integrated Amplifier features over 90 component upgrades to deliver improved accuracy, refinement, and detail on an expansive soundstage. With a size-efficient, industrial design, it delivers 350 watts of output power into 4 ohms from analogue, digital, PC-USB (MQA, PCM, DSD), XLR, and wireless aptX HD Bluetooth sources. A Moving Magnet Phono Stage is also included for vinyl fans.

The Michi X5 Series 2 Integrated Amplifier drives 600 watts of Class AB output into 4 ohms, powered by dual in-house manufactured oversized, shielded, low-noise toroidal transformers. It features over 95 component changes, resulting in highly detailed music with high accuracy. A wide array of source inputs is supported including analogue, coaxial, optical, XLR Balanced, aptX HD Wireless Bluetooth, PC-USB supporting MQA hardware decoding (24-bit 384kHz), PCM (32-bit 384kHz), and DSD 4X. A selectable Moving Magnet and Moving Coil Phono Stage input is also included.

Updated and refined with over 125 component upgrades, the Michi P5 Series 2 Preamplifier renders digital music through dual 8-channel ESS SABRE DACs each specially adapted to MONO mode to extract an unprecedented level of musical detail. Dual toroidal transformers isolate the digital and analogue power supply feeds to further reduce noise and distortion levels while maintaining exacting audio positioning and accuracy. Supported source inputs include analogue, digital, and PC-USB with hardware MQA decoding (24-bit 384kHz), PCM (32-bit 384kHz) and DSD 4X. Wireless Bluetooth supporting aptX HD Bluetooth and a Moving Magnet and Moving Coil Phono Stage sources are also included.
