Sony’s BRAVIA series of LED LCD TVs is growing… and it won’t cost you a small fortune to own one.
The first of Sony’s 2018 4K HDR TV offerings are now available in Europe, with models ranging from 55 to 75-ins.
First seen at CES 2018 in January, the XF90 Series incorporate the Japanese manufacturer’s 4K HDR processor X1 Extreme to produce what it describes as “real-time image processing for ultra-detailed pictures.”
Sony’s own X-tended Dynamic Range PRO 6x technology is also on hand to provide more detail in dark scenes and makes bright scenes brighter with up to six times the contrast of conventional LED TVs, according to the company. Furthermore the XF90 line is the first to feature Sony’s newly introduced X-Motion Clarity technology, designed to support the delivery of actions scenes by minimising blur.
The company is pitching its latest Dolby Atmos compatible sound bar, the HT-XF9000, as the ideal accompaniment to the XF90 series.
The XF90 series supports voice control and Android TV for access to movies, TV shows and thousands of apps, but Google Play Movies & TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, and more is also on offer too.
The 55-in model is priced at £1,699/€1,999, the 65-in model at £2,299/€2,699, with the 75-in model rounding of the series with a price tag of £3,999/€4,699.
